The moon is a tricky target. I find that I'm really not a good enough photographer to keep from either a) having the thing move on me during the shot, making it blurry or oblong in shape in the frame or b) completely washed out as this one is. I can't seem to get the craters to stand out, which would be really cool. Anyway, last night's full moon was so bright, I had to try. Madras, Oregon; April, 2010.

Didn't want you to get the impression the Columbia Scenic Gorge was the only good place to see waterfalls here. While coming back from a workshop earlier this week, I stopped to snag this shot of Koosah Falls near the Santiam Pass. Note how blue the water is, an indication this is very high up in the mountains. Mud and sediment have not yet flowed into the water. It's sparkling clear. Along the McKenzie River Highway, Oregon; April, 2010.

Last week I gave you a long-range shot of Vista House on Crown Point. Here's a much closer view. Next week I'll take you inside to see some of the great old classic interior.
