I'll be back

It seems that while I am gone, the owners have changed the software of the blog and the photos I had scheduled are not running. Look for me to return May 1

Monday, April 16, 2012

This week, the Grind is going to concentrate on the peaks of the Oregon Cascade Range. While most of the population of this state lives on the west side of the range, we Grinders live on the east side of the range. This is a photo I took a couple of weeks ago on my way to work, which on this particular day was a 3.5 hour-drive away, so I was beginning my trip just as sunrise was hitting the high desert. The Three Sisters--South, Middle, and North--stand out, while that huge cloud, pink form the rising sun, obscures Mt. Washington. Taken just outside of Madras, Oregon; March, 2012.

Ah, the windows along the Ille de Cite. Paris, France; September, 2011.

Thursday, April 12, 2012

Uh-oh. I think the Whimpy Kid is trying to tell me it's time to take him on another trip somewhere in the world. That's always expensive, but I'll see what I can do. Madras, Oregon; April, 2012.

Wednesday, April 11, 2012

Yesterday's photo made me long for those lazy, hazy, crazy days of summer, so I thought I'd post this one today. Crater Lake National Park, Oregon; July, 2010.

Couldn't post a living room without throwing this one in, too; one in which I'm usually happy to sit around and relax. I learned this weekend that the difference between relaxing and lounging is that those who lounge usually have more coin. I relax in this one. (Click the photo for more detail) Clackamas, Oregon; March, 2012.

A warm, cozy, and inviting home of friends visited this past weekend. (Click on the photo for more detail) Oregon City, Oregon; March, 2012.
