...the other young, new band over which we are highly enthused is the Band of Heathens out of Austin, Texas. We usually catch the Heathens in Portland, but this year for some reason they skipped the state, so we had to travel to see them. We're delighted we did because it was one of the best Heathen shows we've seen and we were really Jonesing for a Heathen show of any kind. Seatlle, Washington; July, 2015.

Speaking of the Oregon Country Fair, we usually spend a single day there, but we were forced to attend a second day (Oh, darn!) because the California Honeydrops was the band to close the Fair. Longtime Grinders know the Honeydrops are one of two younger and newer bands we're highly enthused over. And speaking of which... Elmira, Oregon; July, 2015

We also recently attended one of our most favorite annual events: the Oregon Country Fair. One is likely to see and experience all sorts of things at the OCF, like this person receiving Altered Advice. Of course, one gets what one pays for, in this case five cents. Elmira, Oregon; July, 2015.

Longtime Grinders know we make regular forays out into the high desert. We recently returned to one of our favorite places, Fort Rock Museum, which has a plethora of momentoes from yesteryear, such as this old gas pump. (Click the photo for more detail) Fort Rock, Oregon; June, 2015.

As those who check in here from time to time, and probably all 3 of those who are actually followers of this blog, know, I have not kept up with it. I am attempting to decide if I might go on a very extended hiatus with this blog.

For now the answer is "No."

I shall continue to post regularly Monday-Friday for now and delay the decision until somewhere down the road. The main reason I have been lacking in keeping up with this is that there are 4 other online places I am currently devoting much more time to and have many more followers.

But for now, I am keeping this one up.

Keep Grinding....

We had a really fun night last night as we spent the evening with The Waifs, a terrific bluesy-folk band out of Australia. Totally great music, very real people; doesn't get much better. Portland, Oregon; July, 2015.
