One of the most popular drives in Oregon is the one from the Portland area to Government Camp at the base of Mount Hood. Without a doubt the most popular place to pull over on that drive is right here when one gets the first really good, nearly full view of the peak. I took this one just in that amber hour as the sun was getting ready to set, through the fog/clouds. Cascade foothills, rural Clackamas County, Oregon; November, 2009.
