Fred Tackett blows out some cool, bluesy jazz notes as part of the intro of Feat's signature song Dixie Chicken (from which the Dixie Chicks derived their name). Fred's one of the nicest people you'd ever meet. While not a member during the band's early years, he did write songs with Little Feat founder Lowell George. Later, he played guitar as part of Bob Seger's Silver Bullet Band, and spend several years as Bob Dylan's guitarist before joining Feat full time. Corvallis, OR; July, 2012.
