Photo of the Day: The Peace Arch on the Canadian/US border. The cars on the right are attempting to enter the US, while the car on the left is on its way into Canada. You can see the customs building behind the arch. I took this photo from the front seat of my car and it took me over an hour to get the customs officer in this line. It wasn't because there was such strict security. I only spent 3 minutes with the customs officer. Rather, it was because there weren't enough employees to handle the volume. April 16, 2005.
