Ok, if you click on this one you're gonna go "Whaaaaaa?" Well, it's Rose Festival time in Portland and the city just gets really happy for the 10 days or so of the festival. There are three parades, with the big one being the Rose Parade next Saturday. However, this past Saturday was the Starlight Parade, which is fun, giddy, and not very formal. Most of the entries wear some sort of lighting since it's at night and most of the floats are really just displays on flatbed trucks. Anyway, this is a pic of the Budweiser Clydesdales. I found this interesting in that the light was dim so the shutter stays open longer. As a result, almost everything in the photo is clear and still except the horses and the wagon, which continued to move through the frame while the shutter was open. Portland, Oregon; May, 2008.
