Just like it's not The Grateful Dead without Jerry, it's not Little Feat without Lowell.
So does that mean it wasn't Pink Floyd without Sid Barrett? Not Fleetwood Mac without Peter Green? Not AC/DC without Bon Scott? Not the Doobie Brothers without Tom Johnston? Not Van Helen without David Lee Roth? Not the Rolling Stones without Bill Wyman? Not the Yardbirds after Eric Clapton left?
Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, and yes!
Ok. Just checking. So if I understand your logic correctly, it wasn't the Grateful Dead who put out the LPs From the Mars Hotel, terrapin Station, Blues for Allah, et al, because Pigpen was dead.
It wasn't the Rolling Stones that put out Let It Bleed, Sticky Fingers, Exile on Main Street because Brian Jones was dead.
It was Pink Floyd who put out Dark Side of the Moon or The Wall because Sid Barrett was mentally ill and had left the band.
And it wasn't the Doobie Brothers who put out the LPs Takin' It To The Streets, Living On a Fault Line, and Minute By Miinute, because an ill Tom Johnston had been replaced by Michael McDonald.
Have I got that right? If so, I should probably ask for my money back on all those songs I love, eh? Becasue of the fraud, I mean.
Typo error: I meant to use "wasn't" instead of "was" for the Pink Floyd portion.
