For some reason when I made a correction of a typo, the link to this photo that I posted yesterday broke. So here it is again. Sorry for the confusion, all.

Photo of the Day: I will be leaving tomorrow for a 3 week silent meditation retreat at Hollyhock Farm on Cortes Island, BC, in Canada. This is a photo I took while at Hollyhock last year, with the tide out. When the tide is in, even the huge bolders you can see are totally under water. May, 2004. (Click on the photo to see the full-sized version)

Photo of the Day: From Saturday night's performance by the band Little Feat. This is keyboarist Bill Payne. I took this from the left wing of the stage. Feat were in fine form and it was Bill's 56th birthday. I gave him a statue of Kwan Yin for the occassion. I sat with guitarist Fred Tackett for dinner and he was in fine conversational form. Feat played a killer set. All in all it was a really fun night. It's always great to reconnect with these friends. Taken March 12, 2005.

Photo of the Day: Waterford Castle, Waterford, Ireland. We stayed a night in this castle and ate in the dining hall, where we got our own personal table servants who served us the meal. It was one of the most fantastical and decadent experiences of my life. We were treated like royalty, which felt very odd and unnatural. But it was something to talk about for a lifetime. (You don't even want to know how much it cost) July, 1997.
