A question game...

I realized that it's been a long, long, long time since I actually wrote anything in this blog. We except for cutlines to the photos and that whole Photo Redux game none of you played. So here's an easier game to play. Answer the following question:

What three songs would be your contribution to the ultimate Singing-In-The-Shower soundtrack?

Photo of the Day: I was attending a function at Portland State University last month and while I was decending a stairwell I happened to look up and out the window. I almost got vertigo! Everything on this side of the window was straight, normal lines. But the glazing of the glass in the window was done in a way that made almost everything on the other side of the glass all squiggly. I still don't know how the tree appears to be normal, but I got pretty dizzy for a moment looking at the apartment buildling a couple blocks away. You can click on the photo and see the full-sized version to see what I mean. June, 2005.

Photo Redux: Okay, last of the past year's review and a double dose. Both of these were taken during last Sept.'s trip to Sedona, AZ. In this one, I climbed several hundred feet up a rock to find this huge tree growing directly out of the rock. Sept. 2004. Back to the regular POTD starting Monday. Thanks for your patience.

I just happened to catch this lizard sunning itself on a rock next to Oak Creek. The area was surrounded by shade except for this one place along the rock wall along the creek.

Photo Redux: Well, I was suppose to post the winning photograph today on the one-year anniversary of starting this blog. But there wasn't one vote from any of you. So I'll finish out the week with some of my personal favorites and post my No. 1 favorite on Friday, going back to the regular Photo of the Day next Monday. This one was taken in December, 2004.

Photo Redux: This one is from a trip to Buchart Gardens in Victoria, BC, in 2004. Regular viewers of this blog probably already have figured out I like angles that lead the eye into the distance. This is another one of those shots.

Photo Redux: Remember this one? I shot it in the bathroom of a coffee house in Atlanta, GA. Oct. 2004. Weird, huh?

Photo Redux: When I went back through my photos of the past year, I was surprised how many of my favorites came from last year's Sedona trip. Anyway, here's the first one of my faves, with the moon over the Red Rocks. Clicking to enlarge enables you to see much more detail on teh moon's surface. I also noticed no one has yet gone all the way through the archives and voted. Hmmmmmmmmmmm....
