The minute I saw this photo after I uploaded it to the computer, I knew I'd be saving this one for Halloween. It's still as creepy as it looked the day I took it. I was outside of Bennington, Vermont, not that far from Sleepy Hollow country or Stephen King territory, when I came upon this art display. But I immediately thought of "New England forest evil turn the children into scarecrows because they wouldn't obey" horror fantasy. Spooky! Click on the photo for a better look. Some may find this photo a little blah, but I like the juxtapositon of the old-style ornate street lamp and the modern building, the contrast of the light with the shadows, the curves and ovals with the straight lines. Portland, Oregon, August, 2007.

Every so often I break up the monotony of these photographs with politics. Anyone who is shocked should look over there --> near the picture I can't figure out how to update, and graze over my profile. Sometimes I don't know what I've got until I look at the photo on the computer. In this shot, I was going for the symmetry of the hay drying in the field and didn't realize there was a cloud moving in front of the sun.
