The world's largest 4-faced clock sits atop Elizabeth Tower, the north tower of the Palace of Westminster. The tower was so named this past summer in honor of the Diamond Jubilee of Elizabeth II. The tower, of course, also houses the gigantic bell known as Big Ben. It's one thing to see this tower in photographs, but it's quite another emotional event to stand across the street and look up at it. London, UK; September, 2009.

The back side of Hoover Dam, taken from the Arizona side looking toward the Nevada side. No mater how long it takes you to walk across the dam (usually about 10 minutes) you gain a hour with the walk. Or lose an hour if you're coming the other way. We did both, as we parked in Arizona, walked over to Nevada, and then back to the car in Arizona. Near Boulder City, Nevada; October, 2012.
