The Old First Church, Bennington, Vermont. This was the first church built in Vermont, in 1762 at a cost of $7,793.20. It is dedicated to the separaton of church and state, and is designated Vermont's Colonial Shrine. The adjoinging cemetery rests in part of the old homestead of Ethan Allen, and is the resting place of the American poet, Robert Frost. The cemetery is designated Vermont's Sacred Acre. August, 2007.

This is a part of the Livingston Manor section of upstate New York, near the Hudson River. In this section of the Manor was a house built by Robert Livingston in 1730, which he named Clermont. This particular Livingston was a patron of Robert Fulton's quest to build the first steamboat. Fulton named that vessel Clermont after his patron's home. (Others of the time called the vessel Fulton's Folly).

This is a grand old house in Saratoga Springs, New York, that has been converted to a Bed & Breakfast. You'll need to click on it to get a better sense of the subtle colors. Saratoga Springs is an incredible town and a drive through the neighborhoods where houses such as this are makes one believe Walt Disney must have used it for the model of the houses on Main Street in Disneyland. This guy's name is Steve Holy. He headlined a show here last week. I'd never heard of him, but supposedly he's an up and coming Country Western star. I did enjoy his country rock some, and his band was tight and excellent.
