I was going to post this last week and forgot. This is the set list for the gig Little Feat played in Corvallis. It was handed to me by their guitar tech after the show. The "F" at the top stands for Fred while the "P" stands for Paul. It's a way for the tech to know which guitar ( or the mandolin) to give the players for each song. Fred Tackett blows out some cool, bluesy jazz notes as part of the intro of Feat's signature song Dixie Chicken (from which the Dixie Chicks derived their name). Fred's one of the nicest people you'd ever meet. While not a member during the band's early years, he did write songs with Little Feat founder Lowell George. Later, he played guitar as part of Bob Seger's Silver Bullet Band, and spend several years as Bob Dylan's guitarist before joining Feat full time. Corvallis, OR; July, 2012.

My buddies from Little Feat were in the region this past weekend and were again kind enough to allow me access to back stage. We'll be spending the week here at The Grind with Feat. Y'know, one of the things about being back stage is you see a whole lotta of backs, such as this one of bassist Kenny Gradney. We'll be spending time on sides and fronts as we move through the week. Corvallis, OR; July, 2012.
